Description
Steilneset Memorial for the Victims of the Witch Trials is a project in the Norwegian Scenic Routes Program. The program seeks to facilitate the experience of nature and culture through architecture of such high quality that it can also become attractions of its own right. Steilneset memorial commemorates the 91 people who were accused of witchcraft and executed at this location. The artist Louise Bourgeois created the artwork in collaboration with Zumthor who designed the buildings.
